Johnston Need, born in India 1800,father General Samuel Need.
Married Annie Elizabeth Easton .Arrived Tasmania, ship "Edward"December 1834. Had six boys and one girl. Wife Annie died in 1849 in Tasmania after the birth of the seventh child Alfred Isaac Johnston. In 1850 their father,John Johnston is recorded as taking the older four boys and his daughter, Annie Elizabeth to England for education at Norwich Grammer School, for the boys and a Paris school for his daughter.
I have been able to trace the names of five of the six boys , "Walter","John Easton","Arthur Robert","William Walker"and "Alfred Isaac",and would appreciate any information on the name and history of the the other son.
I believe the children continued their education overseas before returning to Australia to follow various occupations in this country.Walter became a Mercantile Captain, Easton became a Surveyor , Arthur Robert became a Police Magistrate. If you have information on this family tree and can advise me of the details of the sixth son,as yet unmentioned, I would appreciate the information.

My name is Pat and I am a descendant of John Johnstone born in 1839. The names of the seven children are:
Walter b. 1836; Easton b.1838; John b. 1839; Anne Elizabeth Sophia b. 1842; Robert Arthur b. 1843; William Walker b. 1846; Alfred isaac b.1849.
I thought that John and Anne Johnstone arrived on the 'Orissa' in 1835.
John returned to England in 1850 and married Ann'e older sister, Elizabeth.
Regards,
Pat
