Have Uncle James Lapine, Springfield, VT. Parents were George Lapine (b. Cornish, NH 1871) and Hilda Squires--2nd wife(b. Orange, MA 1902). George's parents were Joseph Lapine and Mary Milo supposedly born in Woodstock, VT--no records. George was supposedly 1 of 13 children? and had indian blood. Cousins remember "family friend" visiting when they were children (1920's - 1930's) from the "MICMAC" tribe in Canada. Also, There is a Dennis Lepine who is the Tribal Chief of the "Cree" Indians now located in Alberta, CAN. "Cree" Indians originated in Ontario CAN. Would appreciate any help anyone can give. Contact me via Email (shirley@glynnshannon.com). Thanks.

What is MICMAC? Is Dennis Lepine related to us? I'm so happy I found you. Your uncle married another woman namewd Teri. Common Law marriage?? They had three children, Joseph, James, and Teri. He is currently living next door to James.

Dear Cousin,
I've been looking for you. I'm Dorothy Lapine's oldest child. I'm getting back into research now that my children have grown. Please contact me. I'd love to hear what you found so far!
