Hello:
In my line of the Weese Family, Solomon's father was Peter Wees (no "e"). The "e" must have been added when Peter's children were born. Peter was born 1762 in Hardy County, WV and died July 9, 1836 in Roane County, TN. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. He married Mary Smith on August 12, 1788 in Botetourt County, Virginia. Solomon had the following siblings: George, Landon, William, John and one sister, Sarah. Hope this helps.

Dear Ben,
I was wondering if my Weese relatives could be related to your group of Weese's. My gggrandfather was Michael Weese married to Viney. Children were William, Robert, America, Thomas, and Nancy. This is off of the 1860 census that someone sent to me, Hamilton Co. Tenn. My ggrandfather was Thomas Weese or Weise or Wease. They have a variety of spellings, the tombstones say Weese is Soddy Daisy, Tenn. It also looked like Michael had a brother Ges? Weese that live one farm down the road. Please let me know if you have any information. Thanks, Carmen

Yes, I believe it is. His middle name is Jackson and hers is Jane. I've found some info in the gene pool, and I am trying to find a connection to the family with Sabbie Smith and Saby Ann Smith. Have you found any Cherokee or Choctaw connections?

There may be some Cherokee, as they came from the area of Tn. and N.C.where the Cherokee Lived.
We believe these Wease children,s Mother was a Dau.of Royal Brackett, but have found no
proof of this.
This is the reason I have Wease info.
I know some of the Wease descendants who still live in this area.
In the 1850 Census James Madison and Sarah
Jane are listed with the Widow of Royal Brackett. Sarah married John Franklin Brackett,s/o John Brackett.
These families inter married so often it is really hard to get them sorted out.
This will take some time to get together.
My records show Mary Jane a Widow age 66 in
1910 census for Ky.
I have a Samuel Wease b. 1832 in Blount Co.Tn. s/o Samuel and Saba Ann Smith.
Samuel Jackson had a Sister Saba Ann b.ca.1840. She married George W. Parker in
Jasper co. Il.1-1-1862.I think George was a brother to Martha Jane.
If you haven't already, you will find that
most of these Wease, Brackett and Parker kids
were 1st cousins.
Good luck, let me know if I can confuse you
more.HaHa.
