I am asking for help from anyone that knows the history of Mineral Wells Texas and Palo Pinto Texas. My grandmother Ms. E. A. Yancy(my dads mother) told me recently that my great grandfather Oscar Clifford Yancy and my great great grandfather G.G. Yancy and his wife Molly Deason are buried somewhere in Palo Pinto County. They were suppose to from that area. As well as from Wichita Falls Texas. That is the whole Yancy Family.

I know very very little about the Yancy family other than a phone call once in a while from my dad's mother. My Mother and Dad(Daniel A.Yancy) seperated when I was three years. My Mom took me with her to live deep in interior of Alaska. At 17years I went in Army and stayed for career. I now have finally settled in Utah(my wife's family is from their, and they know their heritage from generations and generations.

When my kids(ask me about mine) I really feel sad. I don't really, know myself. That's a terrible feeling! To make matters worse now everyone has passed away that has the information that I would love to have known!!!!

The only one I know-- my grandmother(in her 80s) says that The Yancys have deep history in Palo Pinto and Wichita Counties of Texas.

Well, I want to believe her. But I have not been able to find anything on the Yancy's

Please Help Me!!! Lost in Utah

I found out Texas Department of Health and Vital Statistics
that G.G. Yancy my gggrandfather is actually George W. Yancey he died in Wichita County on July 17, 1944. He was buried somewhere in Mineral Wells Texas. He wife was Molly Deason. Somehow they were conectted to Palo Pinto County.

Their son was O.C. Yancy who died in Young County on August 19 1927 sometype of freak accident. He is also supposed to be buried in Mineral Wells Texas thats in Palo Pinto County

At least I am starting build a case of genealogical study. If anyone in Palo Pinto County or Wichita County or Young County can help me build on this information Please Help Me!
