Political Grave Yard has the information that Elnathan Scofield was early in politics of Faifield County Ohio, being a Justice of the Peace there in 1803 and later and also a Senator 1806-1810. I've seen where it was suggested that Elnathan was possibly the brother of Jared Scofield of henry County Ohio. Does anyone have any further information on that? Also there were several Brasee families in Delaware County New York where Elnathan and Jared Scofield came from but there is scant information on them.
